Won't let me install ESF

Ok I did something stupid and instead of uninstalling it correctly, i just deleted the esf folder from my half life folder when i wanted to start fresh...so now I have the newly downloaded esfb123.exe and when i try to install it from taht it says ESF is already installed do i want to uninstall? I click yes and nothing happens, cycle endless loop... I've restarted the computer/steam to no avail...how can i fix this?

You could probably fix this with some registry editing (or something even simpler), but I'm not quite sure how to go about fixing it.

Try to find a free Registry Cleaner and see if that solves it. Otherwise you will have to manually delete the string as Avenger mentioned. Finding it will take a bit of research.

Ah i figured as much...but I fixed it by installing esf on another computer, then copying the esf folder to my computer and installed ecx on top of it, and all works fine ^^
