I didn't realize...

Because i changed to Steam Some time After CS 1.6 Was Released.

Obviously people who have trouble with steam will say it is bad and people that don't will say it is good. I think it's good because it forces more people to deal with Steam that otherwise would just dismiss it and call it crappy without trying it.

it's impossible to deal with steam if it won't work with both of my legit cd keys ;x
so yeah, this sucks for me--though i haven't played hl in a while

i'm not gonna call it crappy w/o trying it
i'm gonna be pissed that it wont work for me and let me try it though some people can't "deal with Steam" ;x

in the end, i don't think it is good at all that won is down, and i can't understand why some people would be happy about it

Well, its good and bad. I have 2 pc's, and two copies of halflife. One of them works fine, and i have steam on one computer (both of these copies were brand spankin' new) and then i go to install it on the other pc, and it says my cd key isn't valid i email them, but no reply >.>

Apparently i need to send a reciept.....fan-bloody-tastic.
Steam is alright once you get it working, until then, its a thorn in your ass.

Meh a shame WON is down, i rather had a updated WON system then steam anyday AND THIS IS HOW I FEEL ABOUT STEAM SO DONT BLOODY FLAME ME ABOUT IT FOR ONCE....sorry that just had to come out...and the reason i detest steam is not that i dont understand it, its that most of the time it work 75% NEVER& REALLY NEVER it has worked fine for me, and with WON i never had problems.

can't use steam.... even if won is still alive.. i won't play online... i only need to test some maps on LAN and if i can buy another pc i'll play LAN with somebody.... if it's possible (never tried) it's too bad i can't play online but i don't think i need it anymore cause i never do anymore:].... which one should i vote on now?

my cd key doesn't work for steam. only won
I have to send my key to the usa, but this will cost about the same as a new key

Good riddance, I used to be a Steam hater, because of everything bad I heard about it, then I made the switch, and I will never look back on Steam. (Lesson is, don't knock it til' you've tried it.)

dont care cause steam is just the same as won cept you gota download a 500kb file to use it and it has friends....nouthing matters as long as it works well


ps:won got closed cause it was easy to play on it with any cd key you may happen to find on the net using a google search, and steam validates em better... so if your cd key dosen't work its either cause someone else registered it to there account....or its not legit
