Windows Movie Maker Is a Real .... to me, i need some help :S

Hey i'm having problems with windows movie maker, whenever i try to trim clips it becomes "not responding" and freezes up and i have to close it with the don't send, send window. Apparently i'm not the only one with that problem i have a friend who says he has the same problem too, so i there a way to fix up from freezing or can someone suggest some other good video editing software that are free or close to free :scared: thanks..

I never had that problem before. Do you have Windows Movie Maker 2? Have you tried reinstalling it?

windows movie maker 2? um i'm not sure which version it is but i took a screenshot of what version i got anyway.. i'll put it up soon.

and you said i should re install it from where?

The Microsoft website should have a copy of Windows Movie Maker that you can download.

Well, most of the crashes to my knowledge are caused by certain codecs.

i had this problem too before i formatted, if the filesize was more than 69mb , immediate crash. Try to uninstall your moviemaker and download it from microsoft.com

if it doesn't still work properly, and it's so important to you, change to the camtasia studio or sony vegas, OR you could format your computer which isn't a good idea, because the windows movie maker doesn't have so many features than the programs i suggested to you...
