why does my transformation not work?

when i transform, it crashes
ive read about changing my cl_fxquality but i dont want to change it
is there any way i can do it without changing my cl_fxquality?
i want to see the cool fx stuff for the transformation

You need to have Half-Life set to work in OpenGL.

nope ... if your videocard doesn't support OpenGL you've to play in software
if you're playing in softwaremode you'Ve got bad luck because you've to disable all fx' (with "cl_fyquality 0" in console)
