Why do Trunks and Goten NOT have a tail?

At 1st I thought that it was because they were half-human, but then I remembered that Gohan had a tail. And another thing, in DB, Goku's tail GREW back, and the same happened to Gohan in DBZ. That's 2 TIMES that Trunks and Goten could've had tails? Did the writers just decide to leave that out or something? Tails OWN! They let j00 become an Oozaru! w00t! LOL! Does anyone know WHY they don't have tails? And for some strange reason who have a legit pic of them WITH tails, plz let me see it......

Yeh I assume it just has to do with genes. Just like eye color and other features. Just didnt get a tail.

I don't think anyone has every actually explained why. But that's all I can figure.

Well I read somewhere, not sure where now, that after the age of 12 the tails stop growing back. Thats why Gohan, Goku and Vegeta spent most of the series without tails. As for Goten and Trunks, if you consider that their mothers were ChiChi and Bulma then the answer might be a little simpler.

Both of them had experienced first hand what the tail could do so maybe they took them out at birth. The only reason I can think of for Gohan's tail not being removed earlier was that ChiChi never believed that Gohan could become such a hideous monster.

oh...and the 12 year old thing....i GUESS that makes sense. Maybe thats y Vegeta never had his tail again...well....until GT that is...

goku....chichi goku is 50% sayian so that mnakes goten 25% i guess 50 makes you have a tail

yes goku is 100% saiyan. his father bardock was saiyan, and his mother was too, both gohan and goten are 50% saiyan, same with Trunks, so they must of had a tail, all 3 of them, but maybe trunks and goten just had more of there mothers side?
