Why can't I create custom

I have installed esf, but when I try to play it, It starts up half life and there isn't any custom menu or anything else. What do I have to do to make it work??

the esforces mapshould be in the Halflife dir. So NOT in the halflife\valve dir.

If no custom game menu is there I can only say: What &*^%^version ya on? 1005? Almost any version newer then that has the menu. Get 1110.

filtering to only game ESF and then update will do to. Join a mod in HL itself will make that mod load auto if you have it.
