Where do I go to download a model creator?

Hey whats up everyone...I have given it some thought and I would like to start making my own models. I just dont know where to go to get the software to do that kind of stuff. Is there as site I can go to to download what I need. I spend a lot of my time drawing DBZ characters and I can draw them perfectly. I just want to see if I can do the same with models as well. you can also search on google and put 3ds max 6 trial, and you get a 30 day trial, 3ds max 6 is the best program taht comes out with very good quality and there is a number of ways to model unlike milksahpe but i suggest milkshape as a starter

I'm a beginner myself...I find milkshape VERY easy and userfriendly....you should have no problems with using milkshape

hmm one problem i have, gettin the sides right, cuz u gotta highlight the vertex under others and its a nightmare
