Freakin' Macedonia!

Firefox ftw!I never use IE.I simply hate it.A lot of times it happens to open about:blank as homepage even if Google is set up as homepage.I hate the tabs and its look. And the searching annoys me a lot.
But IE opens faster some pages then Firefox.

Yes it does. You've never used it anyway, you really wouldn't know.

Using IE is like having unprotected sex. Only difference is you'll catch a virus almost every time.

<3 unprotected *Cough*,

Anyway..... FireFox has its bad things as well. Such as java problems, if 1 tab is slow, so is all the other tabs, etc.

Don't get your hopes up there. They've decided not to fix more than half of the bugs already plaguing the beta. I actually went back to 2 from 3 a few months ago. I consider that an upgrade.

Really? I stopped using 2 because whenever it crashed, it'd erase my favorites. I've been using 3 for some time now and it hasn't failed me yet.

Firefox is tweakable / customizable in speed, skins, addons.

I have done some tests about 1-2 months ago to measure.

Firefox : 2.0.0.13
Internet Explorer : 7.0.6000.16386

So, my personal results :

Load time:

Ubuntu 8.04 x64, IE: 1,1 Sec.
Ubuntu 8,04 x64, FF: 0,2 Sec.
Win XP Pro x86, IE: 0,4 Sec.
Win XP Pro x86, FF: 0,3 Sec.
Win Vista Ultimate x64, IE: 0,9 Sec.
Win Vista Ultimate x64, FF: 1,0 Sec.

Using various tweaks, speed(mbnet.fi):

Ubuntu 8,04, IE: 1,2 Sec.
Ubuntu 8.04, FF: 0,9 Sec.
Win XP Pro x86, IE: 1,2 Sec.
Win XP Pro x86, FF: 0,9 Sec.
Win Vista Ultimate x64, IE: 1,2 Sec.
Win Vista Ultimate x64, FF: 0,9 Sec.

I also remember reading somewhere that FireFox processes javascrip.ts and images faster than IE, not sure about this though.

So, i guess this is one factor as to why Firefox is better. There are tens or hundreds of other reasons as well, but i can't be assed to write any more.

EDIT : Why is javascrip.ts censored?

Aside from plugin issues, firefox is much more enjoyable as a browser. Popups are few and far between. Viruses are scarce. Load times could be better, but are you really in that much of a hurry to view a page?

Yes really. What sent me back was mainly the lack of support for QuickTime. There was about a 50% chance it would crash on me when I tried to watch a QT movie or listen to an MP3.
