EEA only works with esf 1.1, an older version of esf. BTL is still in development at the moment.

They are fan-made addons to ESF. Through the use of third-party software (such as AMX), fans have begun adding additional content to ESF to tide themselves over until the next official release. The most marked addition, naturally, are more transformations, though more attacks, new characters, new sprites, new models, new maps, etc. are also key features.
To make matters simple: they add several features to ESF, mostly (from what I've seen) in anticipation of what's to come with the next official release.
Any further discussion or questions you may have about those addons should asked on their forums - the ESF team doesn't officially support these addons, so, as a result, neither do these forums.

As I stated, though, any further questions about the active addons (EVM, BTL, that SSJ4 plugin whose name I cannot remember) should be asked at their forums.
