What kind of phobia do you have?

You actually need a term for that? I thought a phobia was an irrational fear. I don't know many people excited at the prospect of being vapourised.

Like I stated before, I also Have atomosophobia. I think they classify it as a phobia because you need to be more afraid of it than the average person. Like me, Im petrified of being in a nuclear explosion... but I am also terrified of being burned alive. I suppose I have a fear of heat.

daddy long legs arent technically spiders

Where the **** did you hear that? Of course they're spiders, and they're one of the deadliest spiders in North America too. The only problem is, their fangs are too small to break through human skin.

I am afraid of spiders (my wife considers this a great joke) but I have no corresponding fear of daddy-longlegs. There is no contradiction in this for harvestmen, despite their eight legs, are not spiders; they are more closely related to ticks and mites. Three of their differences from spiders: their two eyes versus the spiders' six or eight; their waistless body ã head, thorax and abdomen a single unit ã and their lack of poison. An old wives tale has it that the daddy longlegs is extremely poisonous but that we are safe because it has not the power in its jaws to bite through our skin. They are not poisonous.

I just think the mix up of both creatures is because of this spider: http://212.84.179.117/i/Daddy-Long-Legs Spider.jpg.. In some languages (such as dutch) this is called mieke lange poten, which basicly means "Mieke (name) long legs".. And this actually is a spider, but the creature you guys are referring to (daddy long legs or harvestmen) is called "hooiwagen" in dutch (harvestwagon), is an insect

I have three gratest fears.

1.) Spiders
2.) Future (and ofcourse death)
3.) Injections (and anything that has anything to do with doctors and dentists ^^)

I also have a fear of hights (to an extent). I can handle hights. But i always get cold feat and the worst situations start to crawl up my mind ^^
