IMO it doesn´t realy matter wat car you drive, as long as it takes you from point A to point B, its a good car. :)

I've got a '98 Mustang LX. It's in pretty good condition, and it just had a paintjob before my parents bought it for me.

Lazyness I guess. It's "easier" to drive an automatic so they make automatics.

Even though manual transmission saves you about $1000 USD, gas, and is safer (you have more 'control')

yeah, i got my car fixed last night. It took me 4 long hours, but i got it done. Anywho, I have plans for it now.

I want to buy a...

Spoiler
Carbon Fiber Hood
Side Skirts
New Chrome Rims (not sure what size)
Need to get my oil pan abraized, it has a crack in it.
Rear skirt
Front skirt w/scoop
new right side view mirror
New Spark plugs
Need new oil and coolant
and maybe a Super Charger

after all of that, I want to paint it a darker, metallic/glossy red.

That's quite a lot of stuff. I would hold out on all of that (except for the spark plugs, mirrors, oil/coolant) until you get a better car...a faster car. You have to mix style with performance. Don't do like a lot of people around here (where I live) do which is make a car look "pimped" but only has about 100hp etc... I love racing those guys in my "everyday" Honda.

Because no one knows how to drive them anymore =/

Well, here is an update to my very sad, but very awsome at the same time..

I still have the '01 Pathfinder (surprisingly enough, with the way i go through cars >.>)

And now i have a new car, at the expense of my internet =( Good by high speed.... HELLO G35! with 298 horsepower a whopping 6 speed transmission, RWD (bad for colorado but i don't care that's what the pathfinder's for =D) Bose sound system, ~20 mpg pure sex man. Pure sex.

'01 Nissan Pathfinder

Mines got a bug defleftor on it. Helps with bugs and Colorado rash =/ that and it looks cool.

Then there is my new baby:

2003 Infinity G35

WIth a powerful 3.5 liter V6 (298 horsepower manual, 280 hp auto[yuck])

and a beautiful car to boot. It's safe to say i'm poor =D

::EDIT::

Kurt`. that's not true. The new automatics that came out shift the car at the correct RPM speeds giving the car better gas milage. But of course, like with all automatic transmissions 1. they take power away from the engine, so rest assured if your car is an auto, it doesn't have as much power as it could. 2. auto's are no where near as fun to drive.

(Take note it also depends on how to treat your car, you can ride it hard at high rpm speeds and burn gas and be fast, or you can be gentle shift at lower rpm speeds but get better milage) I usually shift at around 2500-3000 rpm.

I have a Ford Fiesta XR2i H reg 1990

Just done over 100,000 the clock now says 4026. When i got it the head gasket had blown and it was in need of tlc but it is back in all its glory. The top speed was only 100mph (160kmh) but the timing belt got moved now it will do 125mph (201kmh).

State inspections are, I believe, uniformly on a yearly basis.

Ford Festiva had an inline 3 for a whopping 70 BHP at the crank.

As has already been stated, people like Automatics because they:

a) like the free hand for their cellphones
b) cry at the thought of driving a stick
c) relish the opportunity to give up yet another decision to something that isn't them
d) don't care if it's more difficult to repair and more prone to breakdown while giving overwhelmingly poorer performance.

=/ I drive a stick and i talk on the cell phone while driving all the time.
Just hold the cell phone with your left hand and shift and turn the wheel with your right. It's not that hard >.<

d. is so true it's not even funny. Everyone these days are into that whole "racing" thing, and yet they're stupid enough to buy and auto. 1. autos suck because you have less control over the car (unless you shift the car yourself which is utterly retarded) 2. they take power away from the engine. =/ If i had it my way, ever car on earth would be manual.

Thats what kind of CAR you have?

@ Dewd in the Newd - I want to buy a super charger, that will boost my HP, and if my engine keeps going the way it is, i am gonna swap it for a 3400 or 3800. I currently have a 3100 SFI V6, with 156 HP.

I will be getting a red 1987 VW Fox whenever the roads get nice enough to learn to drive on. Its in the garage now, but its not insured. I need to get driving by May so I dont have to bike 11 km to work every day.
