What is the philosophical significance of the first two rules of fight club?

In my philosophy course we watched the movie fight club. our assignment has the question stated above. my teacher tried to explain ti for me. i tried googling it. i tried asking my sister (a philosophy major) andddddddd i tried asking friends in the course. im LOST! i have no idea what to write :/ please if you know id love your help

Rules are meant to be broken. Doubling the rules, doubles the chance of it being broken.
Also, interesting how your google search let you here, but you didn't look into the section further, and didn't notice it has nothing to do with fight club.
