0_o...weird...At first I saw the advertisement picture at the front and thought it was really badly faked and photoshopped, but a video with 3D graphics is hard to fake. I dunno how they worked all the licensing together here, but of course, big money is a big stimulus of agreement.

Needless to say, a lot of DBZ ans are going to get pissed off when playing this game. I don't watch Naruto or Once Piece or whateve else was there, but I have a feeling that only one or two special moves of theirs would have a true effect on the Z Fighters. Therefore, when a noob playing Vegeta gets owned by Naruto the first time, its going to be like..."WTF??? My Final Flash should have vaporized you and ground your atoms into subatomic particles!"

What platform is this supposed to be for again? And is it a Japanese marketed game, or will it be a US release also? Let me tell you, I can imagine Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat will be more than a little vexed when they see the dynamics of this game.

Then again, I'd have loved to see at least on DBZ character make his way into Super Smash Brothers. They're big enough characters in the gaming world. I mean, in Gamestop (store) the banner for Gamecube has three video game characters on it including Vegeta. In the PS2 Banner, there are three video gam characters including Goku. Apparently they have a big place in gaming. After all, in the new Super Smash Brothers for the Revolution, they're actually including Snake from Metal Gear Solid. Shouldn't take too much at that point.

Diamond Princess, you're a new member of the board so I doubt if you're aware, but we have a rul here about reviving an old thread, basically anything more than two weeks old. Since this is an info thread and you gave additional information, I'm not going to close the thread per bosses' orders, but just so you're aware of it in the future.
-- As Myu-san pointed out, im not really new here, so i'll take it as a warning-- sorry about that Pride. ^^

I can't seem to get these trailers going in the links posted. Do y'all have any other links to these trailers? o:
That's rather weird, some of the links should be working for you atleast. I wish i could help.

What platform is this supposed to be for again?
-- It's currently being made only for the Nintendo Gamecube and Playstation 2.

And is it a Japanese marketed game, or will it be a US release also?
-- I seriously doubt it will be released anywhere outside of Japan-- the reason this game probably won't be coming to the states or any other place is because of other licensing issues. In japan, Bandai(Namco) currently owns the rights to the games of all three Animes on the PS2 and Gamecube(Except Naruto on GC-- Tomy has those rights, and Tomy is currently still in on the Project-- You also can't forget that Ubisoft is on the deal now as well for an Xbox 360 version.) Also, all three of these Anime voice actors all come from TV Tokyo but thats not even the big issue.

In America for instance, you have Atari who Owns Dragonball Z, while Bandai owns One Piece and Cyber Connect owns the rights to the Naruto Hero Series-- Funimation has the english voice actors for Dragon Ball Z-- 4kids for One Piece-- and Viz for Naruto and ect. That would all take alot of money which would basically means that it become to much of an hassle to aquire permission from all those licenses. This game would also sell alot better in Japan then it ever would here or anywhere else because of their huge popularity in their home country-- whereas, Naruto is currently blowing up in the U.S., One peice is going uncared for, and Dragonball Z is still pushing strong-- but overall, not strong enough to give this game any good sales.

So basically, while it's entirely possible, i honestly don't think it's worth it-- i wouldn't risk it myself and i doubt they would either from a business standpoint, not if they were smart anyway. ^_^

New Scan!

Looks to be 6 characters from each anime, + 2 hidden characters.
Would been nice with some more villains though, the the only ones there at the moment is Gaara and Frieza. :8
But they probably add more if they ever make a sequel, just like most figthing games. ^^

-- I just got this game, and i went into it with major low expectations-- i didnt think it would be worth it, but this game turned out to be a sleeper hit for me. This is now my favorite party-game since SSB, it rivals it in my opinion. The game feels like an mixture of both FMA Dream Carnival and SSBM and the result is simply fun and addicting. The specials are beautiful, the movement feels fluid, and some of the juggles you can do are pretty damn cool and rather cute. Ive tried out Goku, Naruto, Vegeta, Luffy, Sakura, and Sasuke so far and have yet to be dissapointed with either of their characters. The game is really import friendly as well, with english menus basically. If you have alot of friends, there's no way this game couldn't suck you in for hours, its really good-- nothing mind blowing, but just plain fun i suppose. It doesn't have the depth of smash bros though, so no one should expect that, but it does rival it on the fun factor. ^_^

Man, that dude from One Piece with the straw hat has really creepy eyes (psycho...).
Does this have an actual story mode to it? A lot of those screens look like they're unmistakably from cinematics.

If I ever see this game, I hope they include a cheat in it for "realistic" fighter strengths...God, then it would be on!!!

Resized Jump Superstars, or Anime Super Smash Brothers. Whatever you want to call it, it still looks interesting. I might have to import this.

Jeez, this IS Smash Brothers! Exact game dynamics, the same effect when someone is blasted too far to any one side. Yeah, you could call this Super Smash Bros: Anime! Its obvious though that Goku's Spirit Bomb is one of the game's greatest attacks.

-- How is it obvious ?-- its actually one of the worst. In order for it to really hit successfully, your opponent has to be in the air and even then, it really doesn't keep them afloat long enough to do any decent amount of damage. This is an perfect example of the quote, size doesn't matter. It's very intimidating at sight, but it has nothing on Naruto's Rasengan, Vegeta's Final Flash, or L Gohan's Kamehameha wave. The Spirit Bomb just doesn't hold out as much as it should.

Honestly the videos for this game dont really wow me, ill have to find some more info on the depth of the game.
-you hit them, looks like little balls pop out, and it looks like it has a struggle bar at the top.

Well im playing it now, so what can i say, i dont understand any mission while fighting in acard (sometimes a mission comes) well i gues i had to kill sakura in less then 30 secs.

Sakura is one of the weakest enemies -_- she doesnt even shoot.

although the number of level in the beginning is low, so not interesting, there are many but owell. not that good ones.

PLayers wich you can get: Rock lee, Gaara, fat buu, cell, ussop,frieza.... damn i hope i didnt forgot one.

the melee combat is boring, its almost everywhere the same its like super smash bros, but with less combos.

i mean while using the squad button i only do always the same combo, exept theres a second one wich gets used rarly, the triangle button is used for fast shoots. ( i use it mostly) and the o button is the button with the special attack.

the dots wich come out, are something like power up dots, when you gain enough of them, you get powered up, at saiyan character you get ssj)

in my opinion its like Super smash bros melee just with anime characters and less fun :-\ ( maybe its because japanese -_-)

cya

(gotta try out now Shinobido and Super DBZ, yey!)

How many characters in anime existence could kill Goku? It shouldn't stop interesting games from being made.
Don't worry, I am designing up an Anime now where the main character, his name being Fantasy, Has like pl of a billion and has like 10 girlfriends and stuff... I will try to get him in this game so he can beat Goku. Oh jeez, I am drooling
