So what in your opinion was so good about FFX besides the visuals? Myself I liked the story up to a point, I’m not sure when it went downhill I think it was after the Yuna/Titus water scene. The scene was good and it expressed a lot of built up emotion but after that point there was next to nothing between the two until the end. I didn’t care for how the summons take over in combat.
I liked the sphere grid at first but after I mastered each characters own grid and moved on to another there seemed to be a huge jump in everything for that character. I didn’t care for was the fact that they broke the 9,999 damage barrier and but it to 99,999. Sure it was cool the first time I was dealing like 12,000 but when I went about ¼ to ½ of the way through the second sphere grid and I was hitting for over 30,000+. It just made the battle seem way to easy at that point, the end bosses I could take out in about 4 hits give or take.
Finally the end boss was one of the worst that I have ever fought before. He was something that you have never seen or really had no feelings good or bad towards. It just seemed like I really didn’t have a reason to fight him. Lets just say that he didn’t make me feel like I wanted him dead like Sepheroth or Kefka did, just a floating orb that summoned things. The first ½ of the ending I liked but the second just left something to be desired for me, Yuna turned into some sort of spokesman for all the people, blah blah blah. Totally took away from the first part of the ending for me
