I believe they are the fmod fixes for the problems people have been getting lately with installing the new version of SvenCoop

if you want to play esf alpha you will need the right fmod.dll ... and in case you overwrite your beta dll, you can download it again..
next time ask in the esf-world forums 0_o

[EDIT] yes, also if you have overwritten the dll by sevencoop ... forgot to say that lol

so how do I use it?
and does it make the MP3ESFPLAYER less lagy and better?
(I now use HLAMP but since "ROOT_DO" (or something similar) is used
in other cool stuffs that HLAMP denies I'd rather much more to use ESFPLAYER
if its better!)

the fmod.dll is the plug-in required for the player to even work, much like flash is a plug-in for Internet Explorer. If somebody has a problem with client.dll it is usually due to a problem with fmod.dll instead. So downloading the one you need fixes that problem.

It'll be in your Half-Life folder, not the ESF one. And you only need it when:

A) You want to play ESF 2.0a
B) Want to play ESF 1.0b-1.0b after playing ESF 2.0a
C) You want to play ESF 1.0b-1.0b after playing Sven Co-op 3.0

You don't need to download it if you don't want to do any of the things above.

yeah, if things are working fine with ESF then you do not need those files. And I believe you put them into the windows directory rather than ESF

I stand corrected. I've uninstalled HL as of late so I'm allowed mistakes ;)

anyways, all the questions regarding FMod have been answered... :closed:
