I know how to upgrade it except for one things, My computer doesn't have AGP port. I'm still a newbie about this whole upgrading and I'm also wondering if it's less costly to upgrade than to buy a whole new computer.

Anyways, I'm wondering if I have to buy a whole new motherboard inorder to get an AGP, or if there is anyway to install it onto my existing motherboard.

Oh yeah, Here:

40 Gig
128 SDRAM
some intel chipset.

But for this Question, Do you eally need specs? I'm just asking about an AGP port. I don't have one, and I need one inorder to use a graphics card like Geforce or ATI Radeon.

I barely manage 20 FPS during a play of Natural-Selection.

To get an AGP card you will need a new motherboard. However, if your not that much of a gamer the latest Geforce released on PCI was the FX 5200. Everyone knows PCI isn't nearly as fast as AGP, but if all you do is use your computer for HL, then you might not have to get a new motherboard.
But I would recommend you do, they come cheap now, you could get a good one with AGP 8x for around 70-80.

But also, getting a new mobo would mean replacing the processor, because the one you have now most likely dosn't use the same socket (granted you get an AMD motherboard or even P4).
Also, some motherboards stopped supporting SDRAM, DDR is much faster and newer, so depending on which one you get, you might need to replace the RAM as well.
