Validating game Resources

Everytime i try to make a private match it keeps freezing when it gets to the part, Validating game Resources. I dont know if its my virus scanner blocking it, or if i need to install something to get it work. I just dont know what im doing wrong. I just installed the game. version 1.2.3 or something. Also, im new to these forums and game so any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think it might be from the maps. Some of the maps just load up real fast and work like a charm. But some maps like cell games dont work. It freezes when it gets to Validating game Resources. Anyone know any fixes.

Do you by chance have ECX installed?

Well, I just installed that and it seem to have made it work, but of course after the first game i played. it gave the same problem. I tried installing on my laptop and i got the same problem. I don't wanna play it online, i just wanna play it on lan with my brother. When i try to start a lan server, it freeze while trying to establish a network connection or something. Im gonna call it quits.
