Using the ESF MP3 player in HL/other modifications?

Is it possible? I'd really like to use it in other mods like CS or The Specialists, since it's pretty lightweight and easy to shuffle through. So before I download ESF again, can anyone tell me if it's actually possible, and if so, what must I do to make it work?

Not unless you can make a client side AMXX hack that puts that part of the source code from ESF to that mod.

Though youd need the source of the MP3 player and youd be in big danger of VAC baning you for using a client side AMXX hack.

Just use an mp3 player that has global hotkeys. Off the top of my head, Foobar2000 and I think Songbird both have global hotkeys. I use Foobar2000, I can do just about anything I want with music without alt tabbing.

No, it's not possible. Just use Winamp or iTunes.
