Upgrading to new Firefox while retaining old FF settings

I want to upgrade my Firefox browser, but when I do the search for updates that's built in, it doesn't find any. I looked for an 'update' to bring my version up, but can't seem to find any info on one. I want to keep all my themes, plugins, and passwords/bookmarks/history info. Is there a way I can bring my firefox up to version 1.5ish and keep all that, or do I have to uninstall and install the newer version?

You can jsut install over the older version. Once the newer version is installed it will search for updates to extensions/themes the first time you launch it. It will disable any theme extension that is not compatible with 1.5.0.X if it can't find any updates for some themes & extensions.
