I'm going to get a TV soonish, and i was just wondering about a couple of things:

1.) If i get a widescreen, and I wish to play gamecube on it, will it strech? Or will it leave two peices of blank sceen at the side? Or will it fit perfectly well.

2.)if im only going to play GC / Wii on it, is it worth getting an LCD TV or a HDTV.

1. You should be able to select the aspect ratio.
2. Personally, I never notice a difference between the two, so stick to whatever is cheaper.

You won't need an HDTV for GC/Wii, as neither of them support true HD (both support a maximum of 480p). Unless you were getting HD broadcasts there'd be no real benefit as you wouldn't notice the difference. I don't know if LCD improves picture quality (over a standard TV) though.
