i can`t join any server when i click on a server it says

"server only for local c class"

what is the problem? please help

You're trying to join a LAN server.

If you know the creator, tell him to put sv_lan 0 in the console.

i've been able to install ESF but cant seem to play it. i install it in
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\username\counter-strike and setup finishes with no problem. then if i am to click on the icon on my desktop, all that happens is CS starts up with the command window up. if im to open steam, it doesnt show the game in my play games list.
i do not own a copy of HL but i do own a copy of CS, CZ, HL2

any ideas?

Getting CS through CZ (IE: CZ CD-Key) will not let you install ESF.

i bought CZ after i bought CS so i have two cd keys for the two games

It may be possible that simply having CZ will stop you from installing mods onto CS. Don't quote me on that though. I can't think of any other reason why you are having that problem, so that may be it.

WHen i try to lauch ESF a pop up comes up and says
C/Documents and Settings/(my name)/Desktop/esfb123-2.exe is not a valid Windows application.
I have Silver steam and have HL1 and CSS i also have digital paintball. Could someone please help me. ;(

Don't use the shortcut. Open Steam and use the 3rd party games menu.

Either will work as long as you didn't get CS from a copy of CZ.

You need Half-Life first before you can play any Half-Life mods -_-.

ESF works with HL1 and CS 1.6 retail.

If you get CS 1.6 from CZ than ESF will not work. ESF will also not work with the source engine.
