I heard about this on a forum I already regularly visit...and wow. I always thought it was a contender for The Simpsons & Family Guy.

Glad it's bad, loved the episodic movies also.

I enjoy it more than the Simpsons (I despise Family Guy, don't ask why) but the last bunch of new episodes were pretty bad.

Futurama can't do more than 2 part episodes without becoming too drawn out.

I always liked Futurama, and I'm glad that it's coming back. I thought they had a new season planned for this year/last year though? Or did they just come out with the 3 movies?

Futurama is okay... a lot of dull moments, though.

It's not rapid fire like Family Guy or Reno 911!, but they usually build up to some decent humor.

It definately has the obscure reference card on lockdown.

We'll probably see a more forward approach in the new season.

That would probably kill the show for me, I have to say.

I love Futurama, and I'm ecstatic that it'll be making a return in a non-straight-to-DVD-movie format, but if they kill their subtlety in favor of more "forward" humor, I worry that it'll go the way of the last 7 or so season of The Simpsons =\

This is great news. Futurama is just amazing, especially if you're stoned. Plus the format allows for so much possibility.

Yeeeees.

I love Futurama's sense of humor. It doesn't rely on random actions all the time to be funny. It can also get emotional without taking cheap blows, like the episode where Fry tried to revive his dog from the past and even the "Bender's Big Score" movie.

That dog episode was so incredibly sad, as was the one where Fry gets stung by a huge bee.

And Dave, you just blew my mind. Watching Futurama stoned sounds like a fantastic idea, I'm so doing it. I'm like giddy with excitement.

I've never done that, but I'm sure it's great. They have some trippy stuff sometimes too like HYPNOTOAD!!!

My favorite quote is from the Bender movie.

YES!!! I love Futurama. This is the best TV news since adult swim started showing King of the Hill.
