Facebook is for people who have too much time on their hands. I don't have it, proberly won't register either.
The only advantage I would see, is to promote my games in the future.

I hear it a lot but I still can't seem to understand why. Couldn't you say the same to whoever uses MSNger a lot of skype?

That entirely depends on how you use chat systems. I use msn messenger and skype for work and to make appointments with people. People added me to ask about mods I made, so it's a good tool to help people aswell.
I'm not the chatty type, but like I said, I mainly use it for business.
