the game kicks me out

i have hl-couter strike v1.000 installed. Whenever i start a lan game (just to play alone) it says ipx disabled and returns me to the main menu.
is it a version problem? it does that for any hl mod

i downloaded the voiceicon.spr, but when it says done precaching resources it kicks me out and asks for an error report.

1. no double posting ... use the edit button
2. there're enough threads about this problem (crashes after precaching ressources) ... just browse this section
3. add "-noipx" into your CS/ HL shorcut ... if it's there, cut it out of it
