I recently got 3dsmax and started learning how to work on it. After some tryies to make dbz characters, a friend suggested that i make a Digimon Character, this is how this Agumon Head was born.

This if the ref i used and will be using:

I also have a few questions:
How can i make the model look smooth?
Oh and this model is made mirrowing. How do i unite the two parts?

Well it looks good so far.
Sorry can't help you. I have 3DSM myself but I'm not good at it.

if you wanna smooth , just select the model or desired polygons and add the smooth modifier, from there you will be able to add smothing groups from , just press 1 of those numbers
If you wanna weld, there is a option called weld in the right work panel (just search for it) just change the value from 0.1 to 99999 and just select 2 polygons and use weld, if you use editable poly its diferent a bit

I'm starting to think to that i used too many poly's on this model.
Should i restart the model and reduce the number of poligons?

You should just aim for a certain amount of polys.
for example if this were for hl2 you'd set your limit around 3-4k
if its too much, cut some, if not ..well nuffin..

If it's not to much to ask, could someone with free time and modeling experiencemake drawovers for the poly flow?
I would like it to look good

hmm from now i think the polysflow is well enough. better then by other newbies.

Although you should take that limit that high, try this one under 2k ,it should be easy to get there with a fair ammount of details.

i bet to differ with you i think this is a great first model imo and the pollyflow is good it looks like there is no facial animation on this one and i dont think its bad i would say a 9 on 10 seeing this is your first yet so good :D
