Same here.

One by "hcZMGpH" and another by "comprisesxw".

And the link redirects to a blank page, though the source code did have an address to another website.

Just some stupid spam.

You really should think twice before clicking random links.

Sky ****ed something up when he took the forums down.

Oh, and MC, why would you ever click a link from a spam bot?

Quite honestly, if you're smart about things you won't get spyware, adaware, or a virus.

It's not bad at all if you click a link, as long as you don't run or install anything that pops up. I mean, you can click a blatant spyware link and have it pop up "DO YOU WANT TO INSTALL MUSIC_VIDEO.EXE???" just hit no and be on your way, because as long as you don't give your consent to download it, you're in the clear \o/

so I clicked on it out of sheer curiosity :p

Like I told you in another thread, don't you damn blame me for something I never did. As I replied in the chat box, I never "****ed" anything up. The forums is still working as it should, like it was running yesterday. The bot registration was pure coincidence. All of the anti-bot plugins are also working, and it seems these bots gets smarter everyday. As for the Captcha system, I disabled it a long long time ago to make it easier for the users to sign up rather than using that system. Barely had issues with the bots until now as it seems.

Once again, don't blame me Dam unless certain of what you are saying. I'm getting tired of being blamed for all things that happens. Just because the bots gets smarter to bypass the anti-bot system, doesn't mean you can go on and blame me for it.

Yea, I removed all the "un-approved" bots. Which makes them guests in your inbox.

It has been dealt with. New users need at least a post count of 1 to private message people. In combination with the anti-spambot registration and preventing new users to post links and known spambot words within threads, the chance is slim that it'll happen again.

If you received any, just remove them. You won't get them anymore.

Sometimes the no answer will really be the yes answer. It's far better to just nuke the process from orbit (Er, alt tab, end process). That way there can be nothing left to chance.

If you do regular scans with spyware sweepers, don't visit porn sites, don't click on random emails, end processes instead of clicking no or x, use a browser other than IE, etc., you shouldn't get much spyware.
