My mate's having a problem with his computer, he partitioned his drive to have windows and his files and stuff in different parts of his hdd, thing is he made it too small, so he's wondering how would he go about changing the location of his temp directory, so he can handle doing things with bigger files?

all help muchio appreciated ^^

you can change the size of partitions even without having to format and such. try Partitionmagic :)

Agreed.

I usualy, on most of the pcs I have partition depending on size of the hdd in the computer I am partitioning, set one drive for windows and one for games, media files etc, so if I ever need to format I can keep all my other data. Here I have a 160gb hdd, so I set 20gb for my windows partition and the rest for games, downlaods & media/music.

You can also partition it using a dos boot disk, which I find better then using partition magic in some cases.
