ok ive tried collecting them all and i put them into one big pile, i press b and nothing happens? i dont get it.

You have to be standing next to them and you have to look at them.

Basically the B button in ESF is the USE button. Just like in regular Half Life you use buttons to rpess them.

In any case as an indication of if you did it correctly, you can see if the dragonballs are glowing and emiting a sound.

The open beta is different.

It allready has the CTDB partly implemented

There is one map you can use it on though.

The CTDB mode works liek this. You have to bring all of your teams dragonballs into the dragonball capture zone. Only in that zone you can make a wish. For every wish you make you get 1 point. The friendship wish gives you 2 points.

The first team to reach a certain number of points wins (like in capture the flag).

So basically all that was added is that each team has its own dragonballs and the dragonball capture zones. The rest is the same.

whats a cature zone like those sand boxes in the city or somtin?

The city has no dragonballs.

There is one of the newguru maps with 2 cyrcles. 1 Orange and another green. Those are the capturezones.

I think the name was newguru3 or something like that. Not really sure. I know the map was in the open beta christmass release. But im not sure about the open beta final.

In any case dragonballs cant be used outside maps made for them. Since they are part of a gamemode.
