Strange Bug/Glitch/****ty Computer

I just finagled my computer by accident into having better FPS. Instead of a steady 20-30 frames, I get a good 50-60. That's not my problem, though. I can't say exactly if it was since the change or before, but my FPS take an instant drop to less than 1 frame per second. It's as if the game freezes but still functions after a second or two. The time when it does happen is random. It could happen as soon as I start it up or after an hour in.

Help?

Can you run net_graph and see if there are abnormalities there when it happens.

Allso any errors in the console. And finally would you be talking about 1.2.3 or the open beta?

It could be something running in the background. Check ctrl+alt+del and exit anything like antivirus updates or something you think could be affecting your FPS.

I'm currently using 1.2.3. I can look over Windows Task Manager agan for **** I don't need.
