if i install ESF to the counter strike map my steam wont open anymore if i right click on it it only says exit instead of the usual list of crap, also none of the games that use steam work if i install ESF including ESF so i was woundering doese anybody else have this problem and how did they solve it... if it's solvable
well it says this on the ESF site

2. A purchased copy of half-life, Counter-Strike, or DOD
3. The latest version of ESF (avaiable in the file section of the site.
but even if u realy need half life that still doesnt say why it killz my steam : /

Try reinstalling Steam completely. Then buy Half-Life and install ESF into it. As for that CS and DOD crap, that is outdated. You MUST have Half-Life in order to play ESF. If you can, get a refund and buy HL.

That sticky is old. From back when you could buy counter strike and get Half Life with it.
It does not work with any counterstrike pack that includes Condition Zero.
Basicly that means if you bought CS before CZ was out than you can use it to play cause it came with Half Life. If you bought it after that than you cant play using it.
