There are some pretty awesome sales on Steam right now, everything is discounted. I myself just bought Bioshock, Railroad Tycoon II (One of my favorite games as a kid) and Red Orchestra for about 15 bucks.
I've only skimmed through the list, but some other good sales include Portal for 5 dollars, Doom I for 1 buck, Doom II for 1 buck, Multiwinia for 7 and Civilization III Complete for 3 bucks. I've logged hundreds of hours on Civ III alone.
