STEAM Help - Graphical glitches.

So I haven't used Steam in like 2 years.. decided to try out Alien Swarm with my friends along with some Counter Strike Source. Everything's fine and dandy until I suddenly started getting graphical glitches in both games. In Alien Swarm, my floor disappears and the textures go nuts, in CSS it looks like this;

I can hear everything, move, shoot, no problems, and it goes away when I use Shift + Tab to go into the Steam Community page thing. I updated my drivers which did absolutely nothing, and now I'm stumped.

Does anyone have any idea what's causing this? As far as I can tell, it's only happening in Steam, since over the last weeks I've played WoW, all Penumbra games, Call of Cthulhu and Silent Hill without any problems whatsoever.

Can someone help?

Reinstall the games? Only thing I can think of working.

It'd be weird though that it happens to both of them right? :S

Like I said, as far as I can tell it only happens on Steam.

That's a source engine glitch. Used to happen to me periodically, but stopped when I updated video drivers at one point. What card you using?

8800 GTX. I updated my drivers today after it happened for the first time. :S

EDIT: I downloaded these drivers.

I'd suggest to downgrade the drivers and see if that solves the issue.

I have an 8800gtx too and I didn't have any problems with Alien Swarm or any source game today.

Where would I find older drivers?

If I search the Nvidia site it just points me to the latest one. I'll try it, don't worry, but the strange thing is that it did this before I upgraded the drivers. I can't make sense of it.

The only time i had something like this happen was in GTA3 and back then it was cause my RAM was screwing up.

Yeah, but then it would have to do this in every game, right?

Not just in Steam games. :/

I can't even post on the Steam forums because it takes ****ing forever to get validated.

Nope it only happened for me in GTA3. No other games.

But it may not be the same thing i was having.
