BRUTAL MOVIE!!

The original trilogy was good, episode 1 was good, but 2 sucked ass! I'm sorry, there was too much plot, and it cut away from the original series.

But hey, yoda fighting kicked ass!

The movie was cool
The story just blew
The action was suprub. But for Jedi vs. Sith...Episode 1 blows everything away.
Mass scale war stuff...the Jedi vs. The robots...omg that was sweet. Plus Yoda and Dooku. That was cool...but too funny. so it was more of a joke...I thought.

For starters, without all that storyline, it'd be pretty damn hard to bridge EP3 and EP4 without MORE Plotline and LESS action from EP3. Secondly, IMHO it was a fair balance between action and plotline. Thirdly, the action was kickass enough to counteract the NECESSARY plotline. Finally, in case you hadnt figured it out yet, i LOVED EP2, and cant wait for EP3, cuz i know what the basis for it already is "Stay tuned for Obi vs Annakin :fight: "

All in all, probably the most well balanced compromise acheivable

Cheers

1) ep 1 sucked ass thats because they werer trying new technolgy they didnt have in the other ep's

2) ep 2 rockeed the story line was pretty good but thing has Goerge ever made a love movie... so he had to put it in and yes it suck but the movie was the best.

Did u find it hard to comperhend the fact that the Jedi r fighting for the dark sie because the republic become the empire and there fighting them selves because Count Dooku is fighting aganist the republic but is with the republic.

But i like seeing Clone = storm troopers and the early star destroyers they wherer using with the clones that rocked and OF CAUSE YODA ALL U HAVE TO SAY IS YODA AND FIGHTING AND YOUR GOT A GOOD MOVIE HE ROCKS GO THE YODA

Yeah.
You didn't know that already?

Anyway, Ep2 NEEDED to be storyline-heavy.....
This period of time deals with political upheaval.....the Old Republic being overthrown by Palpatine and his Empire. This move, and even Ep3 for that matter, will need to be fairly storyline-heavy and political.

Those political moves end with Ep4..when Palpatine dissolves the Senate entirely.

As for the love story....yeah, it was weak.
Georgie doesn't know how to write one of those very well...
But, you people need to remember..
the original triology was nothing more than three western movies set in space..
George used old Cowboy movies as an idea for Star Wars......so we really shouldn't expect TOO much out of these things.

episode 1 was dyer, but the new one rocked - all the OTT fight sequences without any nerdy explain-the-science-behind-jedi-stuff.

the end-sequence light-saber fight in the dark was cool

but some of the scripting was a bit crappy - how many times did ewan mcgregor say "u're thoughts betray u"?

I think all of the major fighting scenes were great, but every time I saw Anakin come on the screen with Padme, I was almost physically sick.
The magic of the original three just isn't there in this new one. But Yoda definately kicked ass.
That and when Obi-Wan went to the clone world was pretty cool as well.

I don't think the stormtroopers are clones. If you've read any Star Wars books it says the Empire recruits stormtroopers. Plus it's never mentioned that the Empire clones troops, and if they were clones left over from the Clone Wars they'd be old men.

Well..Lucas is saying that the stormtroopers are clones, so they're clones.
If Lucas said that Yoda was a mutated donut, it would be true, because its HIS franchise.
Do YOU feel like arguing with the guy who CREATED this series about what the stomrtroopers are?

Plus, if you're talking about those del-ray books..or whoever publishes them, they're not accurate at all.
Those are no better than fan speculation.

well actully the jedi although fighting for the senate isnt actully for the senate and count doku was working for darth sidious to creat the death star and i think darth sidious and chanclerr palpatine are the same i remeber reading so basicly

chancler playing both side to finish his evil plan

so really the jedi that are fighting doku is fighting palpatine, cause doku and him are colaberaters and so in turn the jedi are played for suckers and really dont get whats really happening entill sidious disolves the senate and the truth is discovered

By the time the Senate is disolved, the Jedi are all but extinct.
At that point, the only Jedi, evil or otherwise, are Vader, Palpatine(who IS Darth Sidious, by the way..its just too obvious), Obi-wan and Yoda.

stormtroopers as clones but they are also people.. its like this in ep 2 they needed a skilled army fast so they got the clones, then they wouldnt need to get clones because there is no hurry and they could be able to just recute people and send them to training camps...

and the senate is dissolved in ep 4 (a new hope).. remember when tarken said that the senate is no longer a problem because the emperor dissoveled them and then they started bableing about the death star... then vader kills that guy :D

About the whole storm trooper vs. clone thing, I saw one of those corny behind-the-scenes sorta thing, and Lucas said something like "People have always wanted to know where storm troopers have come from, so this will kinda explain it for them." Something like that.

Anyway, the general gist I got out of it was that the clones will inspire the storm trooper idea, but I still thougth STs were actual people. Haven't seen the movie yet, BTW.
