hey, made a star field using a brilliant tutorial and this is what came out, might make some planets later ^_^

note that this is a small version because image shack wont let me upload over 1mb

Wow, looks really smooth. Must've taken you a long time...
idk for sure but maybe it could be used as a skybox? (u know the background for maps)
Btw did you resize it or is it just a part of the picture? If it's not the whole picture can u show the rest of it?

i just resized it so ya, its the whole picture

once the planet is added on that will make it look better and more realistic which i will do tmr, and yes your right i did work on it for a long time ^_^

small update:


and for the planet i need help on the following:

1. how do i grab a Airbrush Soft Round 300? where can i find the Airbrush?
2. how do i set the opacity of the brush to 30%?
3. how do i start brushing color (we'll use hexadecimal value 664029)? what is a hexadecimal value and where can i find it?

if anyone can answer these ill be gratefull

nevermind, i found out myself after a long time, ill post the planet update when somone replys

thanks, here is the update, note that it is the resized version as usual



i might scale the planet and place in the background somewhere since it doesnt look too good, then ill make a new planet to replace where it is right now

I think it might look weird cuz you dont see the light source. I'm not sure but you can try it.

make a sun in the top left corner as a ligth source and give the planet a soft outer glow to make it look nicer :p

i already replaced that planet with a much nicer glow.. but i have no idea how to make a sun so im leaving that out :p
