Speed issue

ESF Version 1.2.3
No route or firewall (Not even applicable with my problem)
Drivers are updated


When I play the game, it's too freaking fast. When I type in CL_rate into console I get "Current rate 9999.0." I tried the CL_cmdrate or whatever that command is to try to limiit the speed of the game but there was no effect when I typed in the command "cl_cmdrate 3" When I play on a public server everyone seems to have the jitters, and I lag real bad.

What the.... why did you slow things down in the first place?. My guess is for you to try reinstalling esf, and if that doesn't work, the whole shebang (steam, hl and esf).

What video setting do you have esf on? Software, Direct 3d or OpenGL?

Also if you type in cl_rate in your console it will say 9999.0000

That's normal. You're computer is fine, and everything is fine. I think it's just your using the wrong video setting. If it's not already set to OpenGL then do so.
