Sound Blaster X-Fi

Ok, here is the deal, im going to build a new pc and i was wondering if the Sound Blaster X-Fi is all what it is cracked up to be before i go out and buy one.

I've heard that it can be pretty amazing with headphones. No pun intended.

It's supposed to give crystal clear 24-bit audio, and help recreate a surround sound experience with normal 2.0 speakers. It also takes some of the load of the motherboard.

I can't wait for games to use the x-ram (or vram) with the platnum pro version of the x-fi cards, which means your main ram isn't going to be needed to store and proccess sounds.

Well, the sound off of a standalone card is always better than on Mobo sound because Mobos generate too much signal noise. X-Fi will not be an exception. So long as the video game companies decide to support it, the newest generation of audio cards will reduce stress on the system for 3D sounds.
