something new for battling purposes

this got me thinking cuz everyone complains "oh i hate double teaming" or "oh i keep track of who im fighting"

well how about you implement something, ( i dont know what to call it ) where you have your cross hairs on someone and they are red.

and you press a button... lets say 'K', and you press 'K' and it says "you have challenged "Fire Phoenix" to a battle"

it will say it on both screens "Fire Phoenix is challenging you to a battle" . and if i wanted to accept the challenge id press 'K' (what ever it was binded to im just using k as an example)

and then your in this bubble or something to show other players your in a battle. this bubble or whatever you decide to make it if you do this idea. this tells everyone around you that you are in a battle with someone else.

no one other than the person that challenged you or you challenged, can hurt you. and you cant hurt them. only the person your fighting. and well if you want to double team or get double teamed then dont challenge anyone. i havent thought of a way this can be abused. and i dont know about if you should be allowed to cancel the challenge during mid fight. i dont think you should. but hey this is an idea. its your choice whether to reject it or twist it around and stuff. so could i have comments and crits from staff and fans plz thanks

ESF is WAYYYY to fast-paced for this... it would just slow everything down... if you dont like DT"ing then dont play with dt'ers... simple. :fight:

yes this is from jk 2 and 3 your right. which is why i suggested it. its a very good way to fight someone with out getting inturupted.. i have played jk academy... so i know first hand what it does. now im not saying copy them. im saying something similar to it. and like i said knives. you dont HAVE to challenge them you can still fight with out pressing the challenge button. just like in jk you can fight 7 people at once if you want... just hope you have a double bladed lightsaber or 2 singles...

esf is not way too fast paced. this is actually a good thing... because it would help you keep track of who you are fighting... so you wont go (like zeonix said) which goku am i supposed to be fighting here...?" oh and instead of a bubble i was thinking more of a color or something... cuz bubbles everywhere would look the same. so i was thinking like a different color for each... or a name on their head. or something. this is just a suggestion in need of tweaking. so ideas anyone.

nope...i have to disagree. in JK2 and 3 it was great. y? cause in that game the whole point it 1 on 1...that's the beauty of it. 2 jedi's go head to head with each other, and no1 can interupt them. but if u want to go on and kill EVERY1...u can just run around and kill every1.

esf is different. esf it a game like...the specialists. well..kinda. u run around in a map full of ppl, and u shoot whatever comes in your way! u dont stop and write "hey! does any1 wanna come down to the lobby to duel me? every1 else u can watch but dont shoot us. lets all press shift and walk down there...." man that's boring!!! esf is speedy...that's the beauty of THIS game. speed and melee are the...umm...source of this game. without them - the game wouldnt be right now so if u take the speed, u take away the source.

thats the thing. a lot of people dont like being inturupted when they are in a fight. usually thats a person that is a challenge such as a clan member. your the type that would rather be double teamed. or double team on one guy. or maybe try and surprise attack on a bunch of people with a beam .

I'm talking about for the people who dont like that. As i have said before you dont HAVE to do it.

it can be in but there nead to be an shut-down option so not everyone has it, it's gonna be borring after a while(just like advance melee)

Seriously Phoenix, this will never happen. JK: JA is nothing like esf. When was the last time you were triple teamed in JA.....never, because as stated above, the multiplayer is really meant for 1 on 1's unless its a siege server.

I myself hate being interrupted during my fights so ill give this simple suggestion: (has been suggested before; hopefully someone will listen this time...) just make it so that when you click on your opponent, a targeting box appears around the opponent so you can keep track of your enemy. You can even go as far as making it impossible to attack other players while you are still targeting someone else. I'd give an example if i thought this concept was hard to figure out.
