i HAD a sanyo 42' 1080p set, but fortunately for me it developed a bright red motion blur. i was told motion blur was common on larger tvs, BUT, it was giving me the red blur even on scenes that had no red whatsoever, and it was HORRIBLE on gta4. Almost to the point it was unplayable. So i figured id call up the sanyo support.
and before i even finished describing the problem he stopped me and just said to take it back. So im assuming this was a fairly common problem, or he knew exactly what i was talking about. He then went on to describe what was causing it
IF i can get cash back on it (which i doubt, since the box was destroyed) I was going to purchase one for around the same price online.

that one, its getting rave reviews apparently. the only downside is shipping of a large item scares the **** out of me. I ordered a pc case with glass parts from newegg and it arrived in pieces >_>.
but since store credit is more likely, (2 separate wal-mart employees have told me that i could return it no problem but neither were sure if i could get cash back) I have to pick from the less than stellar selection at the wal-mart store.
im currently eyeballing a samsung, if that is my only option anyways http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5691335 that one (i think)
problem being it only does 720p/1080i and i have a blu-ray player, blu rays are 1080p. Googling around, the ps3 WILL downscale to 720p if set to 1080i and still look about the same. Some even said on a TV under 50' you wouldn't even be able to tell a difference. BUT id rather ask people who can answer me directly rather than just read someone elses post and possibly misinterpret what was going on.
how big of a difference is there between 1080p/720p on xbox 360/ps3, and on blu rays. is it night and day? or is it as something like was mentioned above, that i wouldn't even notice on a 37' set.
should i stick with a 1080p set and train myself to ignore motion blur? ( as most 1080p sets in my price range are poop brands) or go with a smaller, non 1080p set but more reliable brand.
i realize this thread will likely be ignored, the tech bench is usually pretty quiet. but if you CAN help, please do quickly. As im going to try and have this taken care of tomorrow nightXD.
btw im sleepy as hell.
