Why is this happening? I'm using uTorrent and I'm getting **** speeds, and it keeps claiming my ports are not open when, *gasp*, they are!

Can anyone help me get uTorrent to detect that my ports are infact open?

Say, for example, my ip address would be 192.168.0.14

I go into 192.168.0.1 and then go into port forwarding, and put in the port numbers and hit 192.168.0.14, then apply, right?

Buy it instead
Just because you're embarrassed, doesn't mean you should start stealing!
Okay, buy what instead? I legally own a copy of diablo 2, and I have no discs. I intend on torrenting the game and legally using my own cd-key to play via battle-net.

Same with Dues Ex. Don't start assuming I'm going to go off and steal everything just because I mention the word torrent. I'm using it to gain copies of games I previously owned, which is *gasp* legal.

He wouldn't be able to play on legit d2 servers if he didn't have a valid cd key. Proof enough for me.

So what of your so called proof says he's actually downloading those games?
He's downloading games he bought at one time or another. How else would he have a valid cd key for D2? I downloaded a copy of starcraft once my cd broke. It's really no different than someone buying hl, losing the cd, and redling it from Steam.

Edit: Oh snap, I didn't realize there was a page 2.

could be that your ISP is throttling torrent traffic. if the ports are open, and still getting poor speeds it may as well be your ISP.

who is your ISP?
