I like the crumpled paper, I also like both compositions. There are some bizarre anatomy things that, if fixed, will add a lot more to similar drawings in the future. Check out
saveloomis.org for some good reference. May I also suggest one of two things: either use a piece of tracing paper as a smudge guard under your hand when you draw, or use an artgum or kneaded eraser to constanty clean smudges as they happen.
You've got a good range of values in your pencil work, maybe think about taking it further by adding more pure blacks or pure whites. You may also consider experimenting with line weight and thickness.
Good work though, keep with it. Have you considered color? I find I always think in vibrant color when I think of that special someone.
