Skinning tutorials

Can someone tell me where can I get a tutorial about skinning a 3d mesh in 3DS MAX 7?

Well you would usually skin something in Photoshop but im not a very good skinner myself. I would like to see some tutorials around here based on folds and muscles NOT based on the dodge and burn method.

I'm talking about putting the skin on the model. I have a mountain model, that I want to skin for a map.

well then just search fore a nature skin and add it on the model. Is it so hard ?

Thats not the problem. I have the skin, but I can't skin.

as far as to my awareness, you cant skin anything INSIDE the 3d software, you will need some other software for that.

usually photoshop is used, but different people have different preferences.
