Mr.Plow: how long did it take ya to draw 2 cylinders, add polys to em, dent em and texture em?

Dameara: Didn't take any time at all, cause I didn't do that. How long did it take you to come up with that?

Mr.Plow: 25 seconds. Then what did you do?

Well, my rendering class with my badass high-standard modeling-God Professor has ended, and I thought I might actually contribute something to this thread. I have here two of my environment projects, both based on video games. I'll leave it to you to understand what games they are, but I don't think that's very hard to guess.

Neither of these are as..."complete" as I'd want them.

All work done in Maya 2010 for modeling and UV Mapping, and naturally texturing done in Photoshop. Images are a composite of diffuse and AO renders.

Well, I dunno how to render wires in Maya, but I've got the AO passes, which are pretty much the next best thing.

just normals + gray diffuse + specular.

demonstrating the base of a head customisation tool, which will allow players to morph between 5 different heads for varying results. it's the same mesh, same uvw map, same vertex count... all that changes is the texture map and vertex positions.

Not sure this is a "simple render", but I've got a vid of the model, texture and animations of my Shrieker NPC from the Tremors films. These are for a GMod addon I'm making.

sorry been too lazy to hit render with the same cell shading settings on. I do have one together with cell in the shot.
