server help plz

ok when first i try to start a server nothing happens then the next time i try the game crashes to desktop plz help me because this is a great game.

Are all your drivers up to date?

Are you using Steam?

yep they are all up to date

ya im using steam

Software mode is a video mode that has been known to cause crashes.

If it's not that, then I really don't know how to help you.
