roof of lookout/rosat?

hi can someone tell me how to do it? i made it with a cylinder,used the clipping tool and made it into 2 tiles.then i lowered the upper one,clipped the upper again and put it a little bit down again so its nearly a half circle but when i make now light on it the pieces are not one above the other.the particular tiles are all a little bit slipped

Change the pitch of your lighting (pitch value of light_environment) and/or redefine the object. Try using triangles instead of the weird "create a sphere" method using a cylinder.

with hl2 that method works very well :/ i know how to make a terrain using triangles but how to make a half sphere as the roof with that method?

i actually like to use spikes.. then cut it.. then resize the upper portion.. then do the same thing

i did this but the upper portion is a little bit slipped from the lower portion so when i put a light on it it will be visible
