Reverting to ball mouse?

Here's the problem.
I got myself a new Computer table which has this nice wooden mouse pad extension that can be pulled out. The reason I needed this is that I use a wireless mouse whenever I feel like watching something on my PC from my bed. etc etc
Otherwise I use a normal optical mouse. The funny thing is, that that pad's dark brown in colour, Almost black.
And if you've guessed it by now, thats my problem.
lol I forgot that black absorbs all incident light. Stupid me.
alleast I didnt buy a table with a glass pad for the mouse. that was even funnier. I do hate mouse pads. Atleast the rest of the table is a lighter color. But sucks that the feature I wanted has lost its purpose.
Maybe I should revert to a good old ball mouse... NOT

Not really a problem. Just thought I'll share it here so that people may laugh at me and humiliate me for my stupidity.

I don't see the issue with you and mouse pads? I'd hate to not have one.

Heh i have a white mouseboard. Homemade extention. Basically a flat white board placed on the top drawer of my table. And that makes my optical mouse move on its own. Mostly it justr starts going up and left while standing still.

So i to would need to get a decent mousepad XD

Or my old ball mouse ^^
