<hr />The video below features reflective maps for Earth's Special Forces as an ability to either simulate metallic or mirroring surfaces as well as simulating wet surfaces for certain types of maps. We're currently using reflective environment maps that will use a shader that is based on a per-pixel basis, and therefore, takes a material's normal map and spreads it all around as you can see in the video below. Of course, the Room of Spirit and Time won't look like this, but we decided to use this as an example to demonstrate the reflective shader.

Now way...how can this be?? I still didnt foget it's hl1 engine like many did, but this....i'm amazed honestly.

And i'm sad because i'll have to buy a new computer to play this...

I'll retranslate what I said in a better way (you should always keep in mind that almost everything I say is just my opinion).

In my opinion Frieza's model could be made better. Well, it doesn't look similar to the Frieza in anime/manga.

Seriously, I think that the esf team should re make half life single player, just look at it, it looks way better than HL:source!

In my opinion Frieza's model could be made better. Well, it doesn't look similar to the Frieza in anime/manga.
You do know that that picture is made under water meaning the modl itself is quite distorted by the water shader.

Incredible, absolutely incredible. Up until now the amount of sheer work put into the mod overshadows pretty much everything that's been accomplished since the release of 1.0.

I wouldnt call this the hl engine anymore.. its more like a custom engine imo. Looks very sexy!

Plus HL: Source was a quick and easy job, they just ported all of the assets from HL1 to the HL2 engine as a test.
