Good call.

I'm sure video games will be blamed for this within a week. Or maybe guerilla marketing.

"Although nothing will be completely ruled out in the search for a motive, some of the possibilities that have been rumored on Internet blog sites so far seem to have no merit, Burbank said. For instance, detectives as of Friday had found no evidence that violent video games may have influenced Talovic. In fact, Talovic did not even own a computer or a video-game system, Burbank said."
Take THAT Jack Thompson.

You know I'm ****ing pissed off right now. I'm ****ing pissed because I haven't heard about this in the past 5 days it happened. Instead, I've been bombarded with the 24 hour news networks media ****ing orgy over Anna Nicole Smith's death. And finally, when something news worthy actually happens, I don't see it. Got I hate this country's media.

I'd hardly call that 'news'. :p

But yeah, shooting like these are so unfortunate. I'm glad the ******* was killed, though. He won't be hurting anyone else.

What is the purpose of killing 5 random people...? Everything happens for a reason, I just don't see why would the guy go berzerk against 5 unarmed ppl that haven't done anything to him.

It doesn't make any sense... I almost refuse to believe it (yes, I might as well am being naive, but still...)

He actually went against more than 5 people. Only 5 of those he attacked were killed... I'm just wondering where did he got all the weapons and ammo?

Yeah im sure they are going to ban videogames for this. We can only play games like Crash bandicoot and Mario in the near future...

i'm gonna take the side of the fence that most people are probably too scared to.

but, why is it, that whether someone has shot anyone or not, when it comes to a shootout, the criminal is almost always fatally shot? haven't police in america been taught the numerous (and often obvious) places to shoot someone if they want to disarm/aprihend someone, while keeping them alive for questioning?

i'm not condoning the shooters actions, or saying that he should live after what he did. but that, is why we have courts and trials, andi believe america still has capital punishment right?

what i am saying though, is, instead of people asking "why would anyone do this?" maybe they should be asking "why isn't he still alive for us to ask?".

for all we know, someone could have just raped him or something...

I've always wondered that, too. They either kill themselves or are killed.

Are you out of your mind?

Mario games are probably the most violent games in existence!

Just think about it.

Mario's a fat Italian plumber. And he jumps on his enemies. JUMPS ON THEM. He breaks their skull with his sheer body weight. Crushes their entire skeletons with his body slams.

And you better watch out when he gets a Fire Flower. He'll ****ing roast you alive. Burn your flesh in the blink of an eye.

Mario, man. Nobody ****s with him. Not even Chuck Norris.

First of all the criminal isn't -always- fatally shot... that's just an unfair statement. I've seen plenty of incidents wherein the criminal is wounded and surrenders. However, especially in the case of a killing spree, police are not going to take the time to line up some kind of chancey non-vital shot, especially not in the middle of a firefight. They're going to take shots, period, and hope that they hit -something- before the guy kills more people. I think expecting otherwise is a bit unreasonable.

Exactly. Better to take him out as quickly and efficiently as possible in the hopes of avoiding more deaths.
