I don't know if anyone has heard about it, but the past month or so has been the one of the most driest months in history for the interior of British Comlumbia. And there are over 200 wildfires raging throughout the province due too this fact. While most are minute in size, there are three very large ones that are threatining homes. One has already completely destroyed the city of Barrier. These fires are each thousands of hectres in size and have caused thousands of people to evacuate. I luckily have not been ordered to evacuate, although one of the fires was visible from my home, burning just across the river on a nearby mountain side. It has moved on now, but it has covered the whole city of Kamloops in a thick layer of smoke. These fires are very dangerous and are spreading very rapidly, sometimes doubleing in size in just one night.

I want to know what you think of this situation, and if any of you are in the region and have been evacuated, or are on evacuation alert.
