I don't think there is anything against it, the only problem is getting people intrested enough to actually take part.

If your going to start a contest you have to setup rules, guidelines, and give a good reason for people to participate. For example, "Model ssj45 goku, maximum polycount will be 2000, winner get's a free password to a porn site."

Now that is the kind of contest I would like to see. ;D

i can offer free hosting since i have a reseller accound for redsaiyan.

than it would be lile this:

1 GB space
10 GB traffic
all other usual stuff
3 months free after that it is 5€ per month

does that sounds good

Yeah, there has to be some sort of finishing prize, otherwise no one will take part in doing something that they dont get something for (unless they work for a project, thats a bit different because it is "Ceditable"). Like for DBU, we have a HUD contest going on. Gawd, you HAVE to check it out. Xstortionist made one and im guessing he is gonna win lol. The prize is credits and a custom model made by yours truely (WHO CAN TURN DOWN SUCH AN OFFER, RIGHT!? ).

Anyways, I guess its not much of a prize imo, but the people participating sure look forward to winning, if not then they are having a good time ^_^.

But yeah, the moral in all I said is........uh........You need a prize :S

For the sense of competition? Nothing wrong with that, other then the fact if they do it for that reasons there could be attacks and stuff on one another. Better stick to the prize idea

anyways most modelling contests people try to start here are more like a model request disguized as a contest..

If I ran it, it would be ESF. Im a bit tired of 100,000 great models out there then you find out there not for esf. Id try to do a model contest to get some officials out there, keep some good ones. Yamcha, Brolly, w.e.
