hay how do i use dedicated server exaculy? im not sure to use it i know how to put the file and overy thing but how does it work to host a server for other people to join me and GRega i got the thing where i cant see my opponet to work i had put it to d3d instead of softwhere now i can see my character punch and stuff all i had to do is put it d3d and 32 bites i tryed it befor but i had it 16 now i know how to fix it=) and i got bigpack to work too=) im happy well if anyone can answere my question ill be happyer:smile:

From what I understand, you need to download the dedicated server version of 1.3 (which is a separate file) and run that. From there, I think the instructions are pretty self-explanatory.

If you haven't done it yet, you may have to do some port forwarding, so I would suggest browsing the forums for posts about port forwarding for ESF (in this case it would be Half Life 1 Steam Server).
